Flavour 1 VH Power Cord

I ordered the Flavour 1 power cord from Chris VenHaus's web site (VH Audio). I was most impressed with Chris's very prompt service. The cable arrived in Sydney, Australia in about 5 working days.

The power cord is for my Exposure "Classic" XXII CD player. My first impression with the cable (without any burn-in) was nothing special. It sounded very much like the stock standard cable. I was expecting this as I had a similar experience with another DIY power cord for my amp. However after about 60 hours of burn-in, I noticed a difference!

Everything just seemed quieter and more detail could be heard. I couldn't notice big changes in depth to the soundstage (my listening room is probably at fault here) but certainly the pin pointing of the location of musicans got better. Listening to a well recorded jazz or acoustic recording is pure pleasure now as the music is so realistic, giving you the impression that you are there with the musicians!

I can't comment on how this power cord compares to other commercial audiophile cords as I have never purchased one but I can say that this is a very good product and the pricing is certainly very reasonable - I searched around the net for prices and Chris's cable was more competitive.

The cord has now over 100 hours burn-in and I can still notice some slight improvements. A very good product and highly recommended!
