for the TG Audio SLVR Speaker Cables

It started with a first time phone call to Bob Crump regarding IC's. Eventually the conversation switched to speaker cables. I wasn't particularly interested at the time, but I listened. That's just great... the guy doesn't have any IC's at the moment (they were doing the 30-day burn in on the Mobie) and now he REALLY wants me to hear his speaker cables. I became even more suspicious when I was informed that a dealer near my place of work had a demo pair I could take home that nite. I knew the dealer (John Barker/www.sonicculture.com) but didn't realize he carried TG Audio cables. I trust John's opinions on all things audio and decided to give them an audition. I'm sorry for the lengthy intro but it helps emphasize the fact that during all of my conversations with both Bob and John I was never given any real indication what I would probably hear when I sat down to listen to the SLVR Speaker Cales w/ jumpers. All Bob Crump said was "they were silly good". And John "... some people really liked them". Turns out these cables need absolutely zero hype. One listen, one cd, one cut; that's all I needed.
I called John the next day to let him know I was buying them. I then called Bob Crump and shared with him what I heard. He wasn't surprised and sounded glad that I recognized what he had tried to accomplish with the SLVR. Compared to the Cardas Golden Ref. I've had the past year the TG Audio offered a much more balanced sound top to bottom. VERY natural and totally unforced. Rhyno was spot-on when he said they just sound right. Bass definition was a real eye opener. And I don't mean always lean and tight (it was if the recording was). It was STEREO bass. No mush, no one note or bloat. Realistic timbre all the way down to the bottom floor. It was immediately addictive. These cables are so smooth that at first you may not realize the level of clarity they can achieve. There's plenty of bite when called for, but it is accomplished without any edginess whatsoever. Bob said he worked hard to remove any hot spots in the overall presentation and I have to agree. Very holographic/dimensional in the best sense. It's a fatigue free, don't mess with it, presentation that has me listening to more MUSIC, more often than I have in many moons.
Of course now I'm wondering what more TG Audio cable will do. I decided IC's were next and they'll be here in 2 weeks. The SLVR powercord went into my system tonite. Once all of the cable has settled in I'll do a more comparitive and thorough review.

Product Weakness: Not analytical BUT very revealing of components not up to the task.
Product Strengths: See review and discovering more with each listening session.
