I have owned this cable for about a year now, and haven't really found a need to replace it as yet. (it was the 3rd interconnect I tried - (others being the straightwire chorus and the ixos master (which I found to be bright and lacking in detail)

The cable itself is a level 3 interconnect, and uses a star-quad design and is covered in a rather funky red braid

For the money, it gives a very natural sound with good imaging and detail, perhaps a slight amount of subtle bass detail loss. Vocals are projected well, and you get a good sense of "being there".

The cable is well constructed, and as mentioned above uses a braid covering, which is no bad thing, the build quality does seem to lose a little on the quality of plugs used - they are chunky, but don't seem to give as tight a fit as kimbers ultraplates or QEDs designs.

Whatever music I play, I get good results, good recordings sound excelent, bad recordings sound listenable.

The cable was compared with teh vandenhul d102, cable talk studio 2, chord company chameleon and the straightwire one price level down (can't remember the name) It was the most expensive cable by 20 pounds, but definitely worth the extra. I have since compared it to the kimber silver streak cd attenuated interconnect (at 200 pounds), and there were slight improvements, but not worth the extra..

Overall - a cable worth a good 4 and a bit stars (out of 5)

kimber silver streak (cd attenuated)
