I have to second Mr.Mensche's appraisal of the Magic Power Digital AC Cord. I have been using one for a year or two on my Marantz SA15-1 SACD/CD player. Recently,in a fit of whimsey I swapped my various power cords around, to get a better sense of their characteristics. The experiment was something of a eye-opener.
When I replaced the MPD on the Marantz with another cable, the sound went to really good to barely tolerable. By comparison,the bass nearly disappeared,as did the highs, the mids became congested, and the soundstage collapsed. It is worth noting that this PC was actually a quite good one I have happily used on every component other than my cdp.
Placing the MPD on my new PS Audio Trio A100 digital amp produced another startling result.The amp,with which I was already pleased,took a major forward leap in. The best I could describe it would be a very noticeable increase in a feeling of liveness and presence,something like the first time I heard speakers that were actualy time aligned.
It is surprising when a cable of very humble price can be so effective. If you are using digital equipment, this is one power cord to audition,for sure.
