for the Classic BI-Wire

I was in the hunt for some new speaker cables my Cardas cables just weren't cutting it anymore with the new tubes (NOS Amperex Bugle Boys 1961) I got for my Jolida. My new tubes really opened up my Jolida and I was looking for new speaker cables that could even open up the sound more. I looked up the Cardas line and nothing was too affordable. (Affordable to me means is it really worth 1500 dollars for 8ft of cable?) In case you are wondering I had the my Cardas cables, Twinlink, in my system for 3 weeks after getting the new tubes.

So I looked around. I found some information about Signal Cable and decided to go for it. I got Signal Cable's Classic Bi-Wire for my speaker cables. Reasonably priced, 8ft. bi-wired with upgrade spades on the speaker end, for 135 dollars shipped. I recieved them about a week ago and was first surprised by the great fit and finish. I couldn't wait to plug them in. When I did and played my first CD I was amazed on how open my system began to sound. Everything was open and the ambience of DMB Live at Luther College, was there. The applause and the silence in the crowd was very realistic. Also with these cables my B&W 602 S3's have bass now. Solid, rythmic bass. These cables give you a front and center presentation, which to me, is what I was looking for. The high end is smooth and open, not bright.

This morning I noticed that the sun was hitting the speaker cable just right and I could read the writting on the cable underneth the techflex jacket. It appeared to me that this cable is Canare 4S8 speaker cable. Also what struck me, being a big Honda fan, the cable was labeled Made in Japan.

Product Weakness: I am sure that there are some, but none worth listing.
Product Strengths: Great sound at a great price.
