I purchased these cables after browsing numerous DIY-type cable company offerings, and after reading the excellent review by Thomas Campbell in Positive-Feedback online, Issue 10 (http://www.positive-feedback.com/Issue10/rivercable.htm).

Rather than duplicate everything Mr. Campbell so accurately stated in his review, I am merely going to concur with his findings and further state that, for me, these are the best sounding speaker cables I have ever owned.

No brand bashing or comparisons with “big name” cable manufacturers here, as there are too many variables involved; I am simply going to say that one may have to pay a considerable amount of money to achieve similar sound quality, and given how the Flexygy 6’s sound in my system, I doubt they could be bettered.

Specific to my system (see legend below), the Flexygy 6’s have the uncanny ability to bring civility to an, at times, over active treble in my HL-P3's, where other cables had failed, yet they still allow all the details and air to come through with startling clarity. Don't misinterpret this artifact as tone controlling, which some cables tend to do. Rather accept that with the Flexygy 6 cables in place, the highs will become smoothed out, yet still retain all the information and details embedded in the recording, only without the annoying ringing in your ears. For many this can be a good thing, and may be just what your system needs.

The midrange and bass has to be the best in the business, too, as far as I am concerned. Tones and textures are painted in a golden hue that simply envelops the listener, giving tunes a fuller, richer sound. Music just seems to ebb and flow, naturally and convincingly, hanging in space as if sprung from a proverbial black background. I am hearing lower notes than before, or at least the illusion of lower notes, as the little Harbeth’s can only go so low due to their physical size. But with the Flexygy 6’s in place, the HL-P3's now go low enough without giving me the feeling I need to invest in a subwoofer.

I could go on and on, adding audiophile superlatives that tend to sensationalize rather than accurately describe a product, but you’d be able to see through the rhetoric. Instead, I am simply going to suggest that you take advantage of River Cable’s 30-day, money back guarantee, and decide for yourself. With an offer like that, you can’t go wrong.

The Flexygy 6’s have been nothing short of a revelation for my system, and the end to all speaker cable searching. Perhaps your cable search will end with them, too.

Product Weakness: None whatsoever.
Product Strengths: Smooth, detailed, and natural sounding. Gives music a full, rich sound, without sounding soggy or slow.
