for the Power Cable

I bought a Lessloss Filtering Power Cord (I should say my first Lessloss PC) in January. I had been using an NBS Professional II ($1800) on my Accuphase preamp for 4 years which was way better than anything else I'd tried earlier (Harmonix, Acrolink, AET, JPS Labs, etc.). My only problem with NBS was its stiffness which made the practical length of the cable about half of its real length.

I came across Lessloss on the internet when reading about battery powered DACs. When I saw that their Filtering Power Cord had good reviews, very flexible, and costs considerably less than others it was compared to in reviews, I decided to order one. You can only buy this cable directly from the manufacturers through the internet, but the UPS shipping is very fast (and included in the price).

When I connected my preamp, I was very surprised. I was hoping that the Lessloss power cord would equal my NBS cable, so I could use this more flexible cable and move my rack a bit. The Lessloss cable, however, is not in the same league as the NBS, it is well above that. The sound became so detailed, dynamic, but relaxed and natural at the same time that it is hard to describe. The only other time in my over 10 years of "cable searching career" when I felt that something is perfect when I bought a legendary Zcable Live 5 (but that's another story - look at audioreview.com).

The Lessloss power cord sounded right from the beginning, I didn't notice much change in the following days. I decided to take it to friends and try in their system, too. In the following few weeks we tried the Lessloss cable in 3 different systems ranging from $10,000 to over $200,000. The cables we exchanged were Audience AU24, Acoustic Zen Absolute, and Kondo KSL, all costing several times more than the Lessloss. Every time we heard similar improvements. On one occasion we exchanged an Acoustic Zen Absolute power cords ($2500) on an Accuphase DP-78 SACD player and also on an Accuphase P-7100 power amp. This friend liked the Lessloss so much that without hesitation he immediately ordered two. When they arrived and put them in his system he wrote me an e-mail. Let me quote:
"The Lessloss is incredible,..., unbelievable dynamics and the resolution increased a lot. The whole system is more expressive now and this is by not losing musicality, on the contrary that improved, too. I'm impressed, and it is not even burnt in, yet." A few days later: "With all kinds of music the dynamism is unparalleled. Now, everything is in place (in the music)."

In the last 4 months I ordered nearly a dozen Filtering Power Cords (including my friends') and every piece in the system improves it further. On my DVD player it removed noise from the video which is easy to see on my over 100" screen.
The only cable I bought recently that improved the sound of my system even more than the Filtering Power Cord was a Lessloss Digital Cable, but will be another review...

Two comments about Lessloss as a company. The customer support is outstanding before and after purchase. Replies to e-mail arrive within hours and after exchanging a few you feel like conversing with an audiophile friend and not a manufacturer (and dealer in this case). If we saw such customer service in all other businesses we would live several years longer...
The other comment is that personally I very much like the approach that Lessloss has only "one" of every product they make. They don't have an "se" or "pro" or "improved" or "master" or whatever series. They make everything the best they can whatever it'll cost and try to sell them at a price that will keep them going. You won't have to worry that "I should have got the 'premium' series, etc". I understand that with all products we can't always afford the ultimate, but it is a refreshing approach and shows that Lessloss is more concerned about quality than marketing. This is also clear when the cables arrive in thin plastic bags, rather than natural resource wasting and expensive wooden boxes.

Product Weakness: Will make you want to try other cables from Lessloss.
Product Strengths: Dynamic, detailed, natural sound. Very flexible cord despite its size.
