Hello Chris,Thank you very much for sharing your DIY`s. After discovering your speaker cable at audioweb, I discovered the possibilities if DIY, and made your cat 5 cable.
As I was looking for a new set of cables the timing was perfect.
they sounds a lot better than the previous cable I used (bandridge cheapies), but I do want to use them for Bi-wiring. You suggest making a three times three pair braid for tweeters. Due to lack of cable I toke 9 pairs out of the 27 pair braid and used them for tweeters. My Questions, first, Would it be an improvement if I would make a second (smaller) cable for tweeters and use the 27 pairs for bass? second, would a Cat 6 cable be an improvement? as you can tell I am not at all knowledgeable in the cable field, but I discovered a lot of fun in improving the reproduction of music, doing it myself.
Thanks again
Leon
