Just a note. I went home and started to braid Cat5. What a pain in the neck. So I tried an alternative. I took the twisted pairs, put a bent nail in my Makita drill. Attached the group to the wall, stretched them to the other side of the room connected to the drill. Made a tape mark on the parallel wall 15 inches in front of the cable ends. I then put the drill on high and kept tight pressure and as they twisted, they shortened, when I got to the consistent matk on the wall I knew when to stop.

At this point My wife and I braided the twisted pairs into one cable.
End result, two awesome 16' speaker cables that surpassed our monster cables that we made in two 1 hour sittings.
