Clairvoyant Cable Speaker input Jumpers
If your speakers do not have dual inputs for Bi-Wiring or Amping, this review would not apply to you. However, if like myself, my Sonus Faber Speakers have dual inputs.
I recently purchased the superb Clairvoyant speaker cables and noticed when I connected them to the lower woofer input, the characteristics of the woofer performance was superior to plugging the cables to the tweeter input, and visa/versa with the tweeter input.
My speakers, as original, had the woofer input connected to the tweeter with what I would describe as gold plated railroad spikes. I contacted Clairvoyant and found they manufactured jumpers, four sets for a surprising $57. I purchased the very well made jumpers and upon installation, the improvement in sound quality was a true surprise. Not only did it not matter what input I connected the speaker cables to, there was now an overall sonic improvement in both the lower and upper registers, suggesting to me, that the speakers were being held back by the railroad spikes.
In closing, those who know wire can make a significant difference, and your speakers have connections as I described, you may find an often overlooked area in your system where you can make a surprising improvement in your speakers sound reproduction.
