If you're a regular viewer at the Audiogon.com site you must have seen BMI's auction or ads on a regular basis and I am no exception so one day I decided to give BMI a try. I emailed Brian and off went my money order for a pair of EEL custom made power cords. Not to be disappointed, right away and right out of the box, these EELS have made their present felt on both of my preamp Moon P5 and my amp Moon W5. After about 200hrs of burn-in, I must say that the EEL has made more sonic impact on the preamp than the W5. The sound of the P5 with the EEL plugged in I've heard some of the best midrange or vocals that I never thought my speakers (Gershman GAP) was capable until now. Acoustic instruments seem to be the other beneficiator from the EEL as well with air ambience around the string is just breathtaking. Another aspect of important benefit I should emphasize here is the black silent background that brings out the smallest nuances (microdynamics)of the recording once previously hidden. The overall music presentation is much more musical with pinpoint imaging and wide opened soundstage. I tried the EEL in my pre/pro B&K Ref30 and have experienced similar results or may be more so at the surround sound system.
I'm told the WHALE is better so I have one on order already. Look forward to my Whale p/c review soon.
