Cable Asylum: REVIEW: Acoustic Zen Satori Speaker Cable, Matrix Reference IC, and Silver Reference IC Cable by Gregg Owens

After reading the posting in the cable asylum about the "hidden interconnect", I opened up my Conrad Johnson MV55 and saw that it was a straight path from the input RCA's to the input terminals of the circit board. Taking advantage of a golden opportunity and the kindness of friends, the Acoustic Zen Silver Reference IC replaced the existing wire.
The sound of the my system took a quantum leap forward. Transparency was enhanced. The images were more firmly anchored in the soundspace. Front to back soundstaging was more solid along with increased width. Every instrament in the orchestra was in it's assigned place side to side as well as front to back. It makes one want to have included with CD's a diagram of the recording venue to test accuracy. ( Some orchestras have the cellos and viola's changing places with each other, plus where the tyampani and brass are located.)
A while ago I had "subwoofer out" RCA's installed and the Silver Reference replaced the existing jumpers from the input RCA's. The bass became better integrated with the mids and highs. The bass notes on Enya's new album "a day without rain" hit me firmly in the chest.
Piano was more accurate in timbre. I could detect that the higher notes were progressing toward me while the lower notes seemed to move further away.
The overall presentation of the system became a little more "lean". There may be several reasons for this.... The CD player could be improved upon plus better tubes on the amplifier (see below). I think that the cables are so revealing that they will tell you what the other components of your system are doing.
