for the Krakatoa

The subject of this short, sweet opinion, the Krakatoa, replaces a Cardas Golden Reference PC supplying the juice to my amp. The Acoustic Zen cord maintains the already extremely low noise floor obtained with the Cardas cord. With the Krakatoa, I have noted an overall increase in clarity and soundstage depth. There is an increased sense of air and space around instruments and voices in the soundstage, making them appear more lifelike and â€œthere.â€ In the mid and low bass, notes are more well defined and the bottom end more extended. I have a number of CDs of favorite artists that unfortunately are not the best recordings and to which I rarely listen. Virtually all of these recordings have become more listenable to some degree, as if a veil of grunge and stridency has been lifted. This power cord is like none I have tried before. The overall effect is almost like that of replacing a component. I wonder what other improvements will be wrought by replacing the other cords in my system ? I plan on finding out.
