This is follow up review of the Marantz CC4300, after replacing the stock power cord.
By replacing the stock 18AWG power cord with DHLabs T-14 (14AWG silver plated OFC) cable, I found there is a very nice improvement in clarity, dynamics and soundstage. There is better layering and the sound is more organic now. This is true whether I use this player as a dedicated CD player or as a transport mechanism with an external DAC.

The chassis needs to be opened in order to replace the power cord. The cord can then be easily unplugged from the internal power supply and replaced.

Also, there are further improvements to be gained by changing the operational amplifier. Check out strictlyamateur's posts ( http://db.audioasylum.com/cgi/m.mpl?forum=tweaks&n=119198 ) for more information.

Product Weakness: See my original review. Definately replace the stock power cord.
Product Strengths: See my original review.
