for the SP3
Smooth, analytical, full bodied, great bass, does not coverup flaws in the recordings. Soundstage feels right, no overextension. Plays dirty rock recordings like I have not heard before from a tube amp. The recordings feel supercharged, downright brutal at times.Beats my previous softie hi fi tube amp, smokes my high end transistor amp by a wide margin.
The amp is very pleasant to look at and very well built. I am in love with music again.
The Quad 12l speakers make a great match - I was surprised how much bass they can deliver. Sound does not feel boxy, like with my previous amps.
The melody matches very well with the Project III Turntable and the Bellari Tube Phonoamp. They are made for each other.
Features are few and all you need:
4 and 8 Ohm speaker posts, 2 sets of RCA inputs. Hiden on/off abd Channelselector. Stepped high quality volume control.
External Bias adjustment.
Product Weakness: None Product Strengths: It`s all there
