Let's get right to the point: fresh out of the box these amps sounded better than any amps I had ever heard in my 40+ years of audio, and everyone who has heard them thinks the same; they are the only amps I have
ever had that could satisfactorily reproduce Ministry's "Jesus Built my
Hotrod". Slam? My bass is a 97db JBL and it cranks with 5 watts let alone
30. Highs? Silken and shimmery--super hi-hat. Mids? Better than food and
sex. Indescribably engaging and involving, this amp energizes rather than
fatigues. Warm without being mushy, these amps image and detail without
being cold and analytical. Dennis Had should get his own special wing in
the amplifier designer's hall of fame. The amps they replaced, a pair of
AR VT-130's, are in the closet, where they will stay until.... These use KR
Enterprises 2A3's in the output stage, God's tube, four of them in each monoblock in a 30 watt push/pull class A configuration. Magic, pure and simple.
