I have the pleasure of owning this amp for approximately four months. Right out of the box the sound was open and natural. as the unit continues to break in the most accurate word i can deliver is musical. The vt100mkii replaced a Krell FPB 200. The Krell has a slight edge in pure slam, however when auditioned side by side the vt100mkii is much more musical - sounds closer to real music than reproduced music. I note no particular preference for this amp as far as type of music, however female vocals are to die for. Soundstging is as good as I've ever heard in my listening room. Helped tame some of the brightness of my Watt Puppy 5.1s. A quality piece of equipment that is very musical.
