I own the N.E.W. P-3 tube preamp, which I mainly used with a Carver SS amp.
The only real annoying thing about this amp is the buzzing transformer,
but I have to say after reading all the wonderful reviews of this amp and
cost I'm not impressed, which is ashame. "I was hoping I would be" the big
difference going to this amp is the bottom octave is solid especially at low volumes, but the high frequency on mainly rock music is a little irritating unlike the smothness of the carver" a $500 amp mind you"
