Dussun V6i:

Build quality is excellent its made of solid thick aluminium bricks. Front panel is neat & simple with five buttons to select the source, one power on/off & volume control. It gives very simple but very sophisticated feel which demands to place where people can see & appreciate the beauty of this beast ! On the rear side there are five RCA input & two RCA out put along with the two pair of solid connectors for the speaker wire. So far there are tow concerns 1)I think there should be one XLR balanced input option. 2)The jumpers between pre & power amp is the worst part which you can find in this amp, that's said!

Sound

fast with lots of air lots of real POWER, can drive most of the speaker in this world !sound is very neutral hard to find any color either on voice/vocal or music ....its very very imp to choose the right music source (CD/LP) & interconnect which depends on individual liking & disliking !! I choose Cardas Quadlink interconnect over VDH Golden Jubilee coz of more open sound stage without making the sound thin !! never gets hot even after 400-500 hrs of nonstop music.....2)Sound comes thin on low volume but it gets better as you go beyond vol 2 its shows its strength when the vol is between 2.25 to 3 ! I'm sure that one can't go beyond 4 as it will hurt your ear drums again not because of any -tive aspect but coz of pure power !!for best results you need to keep the vlolume at 2.5 to 3, then the sound becomes more alive n life like spl vocals will shine there & you can feel the singer in front of you. The reason for the thin sound is may be coz of the internal wiring which the manufacturer has used ..... as per dussun they are using VDH & it may sound better with some cahenge in the wiring but that's depends on the manufacturer to do some experiment i'm sure it will have some +tive effect on the sound . Sound is forward, for some ppl : on your face type ! ! but it depends more on the music source CDP/LP...! need to burn 500-600 hrs to get real sound!(i call it MAGIC POWER HOUSE)

suggestion: Choose the best CDP & interconnect which can produce wide /open sound stage with more thick sense of sound ......dussun will not disappoint you & will be very close to any system WHICH CAN COST YOU AROUND 10k to 15K.......! Try it !! I'm using consonance CD16B (CD120 linear ) pls scroll down for CDP's Review !

CD 16B (Consonance CD120 linear 16 bit 44.1kHz ):

FEATURES: Non-Oversampling, No digital filter

J-FET/Transistors made of analog filter without any op-amp

Very short signal pass length

Very less number of parts in Analog section

Sampling frequency: 44.1kH/88.2kH/176.4kH (selected manually using remote control unit)

This is good analogue for its effortless sense of musical flow.Non-Oversampling DAC concept was first proposed by Ryohei Kusunoki in late 1966. I Love to listen to vocals like Norah jones, crystal gayle,Ella fitzgerald,Toni braxton,Tracy chapman,Sarah mclachlan, Eva cassidy,Diana krall, Nat king,Michael franks,George benson,Leonard cohen, cliff richards....it sounds superb there is some organic flow in it which is addictive than seductive. At the Price point you can't get the better source which can produce LP kind of music.....yes i mean it, if not exactly but very close to it. If you are looking for the mid price source & wana have best mid range (most of the music is in mid range/ frequency only) produced by the source without painful harsh / bright sound than this is the CDP you want in life !!!!! This may be the one of the best digital CDP in the un-digital way of producing music !!

Consonance CD120 linear 16 bit 44.1kHz

Output voltage: 2.35V

Digital output: 1 group, Unbalanced

To Experience the True Possibility of 16bit/44.1kHz Format

Non-Oversampling, Digital-filter less DAC

DAC resolution : 2*Philips TDA1543 16Bit DAC

0dBFS signal output : 2.29V RMS

Output Terminals : Gold plated RCA

Frequency response : Less than +/- 0.1 dB deviation 20Hz-20kHz

Signal-to-noise ratio : More than 105dB

Inter modulation(RCA) : Less than 0.002% (19kHz + 20kHz)

Dimensions / Weight : 8cm x 43cm x 29cm (HxWxD) / 10kg CD-player

Non-Oversampling DAC concept was first proposed by Ryohei Kusunoki in late 1966.

Product Weakness: Sound is somehow raw & not involving . Jumper between pre-power amp section. only RCA input no XLR input
Product Strengths: Pure Power(more than the most 300w mass market product) Build like a Tank
