I was shot in the head during a robbery while unarmed. I call it the "witness elimination program." The bullet when in behind my right ear, and exited the left side of my nose. Clipped an artery. Very messy. Almost bled to death on a little old lady's kitchen floor.
I got lucky in some ways. His gun jammed so he didn't get a second shot off. Only lasting effect was some partial paralysis on the right side of my face along with constant nerve pain.
Of course The Left knows the solution to the problem. Severely punish criminals that use a gun during the commission of a crime. Severely punish people who hurt other people. I'm usually not in favor of "minimum/mandatory." However with gun crime I am. In Florida they started a M/M called 10/20/Life. Pull a gun during a crime, 10 years. Discharge it, 20 years. Hit somebody, Life. I would add, murder = death penalty. It's only fair and just. Gun crime dropped to historically low levels.
But no... their solution is to disarm the law abiding, so they can't protect themselves from the predators. I read that some state legislator in California was just arrested recently, and one of his crimes was promising to get guns for an Asian gang. I bet he mouthed the gun control mantra to the public. I could go on, but you get the idea.
