It's best not to mess with changing feedback unless you REALLY know what you're doing. Amount of feedback is a very careful balance of many factors and upsetting any one of them may result in degraded performance. One result is reduced stability and tendency to oscillate with some loads. Since the 500C is unconditionally stable with all loads as is, I for one would not increase feedback factor. Also, above a certain and relatively small value, increased damping factors rapidly approach the point of diminishing returns. There are even tweaks where a small value resistor is installed betw amp (with high damping factor) and speaker to reduce damping factor for improved sound.
