I don't think so. They look original to me - although they're in awfully good condition for stock. And the tweeter seems to be working okay - I know how those almost invariably rot out, though. Why would you put foam surrounds with a tweeter?

Just curious: Which Goodwill did you see them in? The guy told me they came in yesterday morning. If not, it leads me to wonder if we've unknowingly crossed paths - did you buy a big chunk of some sort of oddball vintage equipment when you saw them? (No insult intended - I saw some guy the other day with a strange-looking unit - it looked sorta like a mixer or something - under his arm perusing the used records bin....)

Someday my system will be together...
