TU-8300 (300B) 8W andTU-8230 (2A3) both are SET topology.
3W＋3W (THD=10%、1kHz、8Ω)
※ electro-harmonix 2A3EH/GOLD：5.5W＋5.5W (THD=10%、1kHz、8Ω)Both TU-8300 & TU-8230 are SET Topology. Especially, TU-8300, you can use 300B, KT88, 6LGC without adjustments. Tube rolling is possible for TU-8300.
I am using TU-8300 to drive my ProAc2.5 with a very good result. There are a lot of good feedbacks about this amp. If you have a concern about the the OPT, you can upgrade to more expensive opt.

I suggest to replace 4 PP caps to Vcap instead of the OPTs.
I would say, Elekit amps have a cleaner and less bloomy sound. For slam, Well it depends on a number of things, ie speakers
