I can't tell if these are black plates or not but they look like a nice tube. They look like a gray plate tho.

I've used a pair for a while now, most recently in an MC275VI. They have grey plates and sound good, but mine became noisy early on, and are unlikely to last much longer. I wouldn't buy them again.
I have been using (2) Psvane 12AX7 MKII tubes in my phono stage for over 2 years now and have tried most others too. I like the sound of these and feel no urge to change.
I prefer the Psvane 12AX7 to anything in my tube stash. Better than the Telefunkens. The Psvane 12AU7 are also excellent. For some reason, the break-in time for Psvanes are much longer than other tubes I have tried.
Mike, hello my friend. I have a pair of the Psvane 12AU7 mkII and the plates are indeed gray. I hope that helps you in some small way...

I'd recommend calling Rachel at Grant Fidelity in Canada regarding PSVANE and Shuguang Custom tubes.
Additionally, I'd be more curious about the new Shuguang Custom 12AX7 LS Black Bottle picture above.
In a customer's Vox AC-30. He like them better than the Gold Lion B759 reissued. He felt the tone was closer to the original Mullard ECC83 tubes. Smoother, warmer midrange.I've recommended them to some Marshall amp owners for the same reasons. They seem satisfied.
