Considering buying a set of the French made Philips Dario 12ax7s tubes. I'm assuming the S stands for special and they are probably just low noise tubes but nothing special in way of construction as far as I can tell from other short grey plate Philips tubes. Dual getter support that about only difference I can see. I was wondering what I can expect. Will these behave and sound similar to my other short plate Philips tubes i.e. Orange globe Amperex, i65 bugle boys, e83cc SQ miniwatt. Anyone who has first hand experience using these before I'd love to hear what you think.

Is yours silver or grey plate? I had some grey plate for input tube in my EICO HF87. It was good there. Dak
Short Grey plates
In general, French made tubes for Philips were very good. Does the seller have the Philips manufacturer/date code of these tubes?
I took the plunge and bought them so I'll post a pic when I get them and we'll figure it out. Dating Philips tubes is not my strong suit
Once you get used to the food & type of restaurant they like, it isn't too bad.

I see what u did there 🕵
