Hello everyone.
Which valves should be fitted for a nice warm and enveloping sound on my HB1 Antique Sound Lab Headphone ampli?
Now mount the new EL 84 Mullard made in Russia......
Follow Ups:
I have the ASL MG Head 32 running a quad of EL84 tubes. I experimented quite a bit and I run NOS Telefunken + NOS Mullard. One Mullard + one Telefunken per channel.
This is very very sweet, the best of both tubes.
If you want some very nice warm tubes I would go for NOS Mullard tubes.
You might want to get a used strong matching tubes at a better price.
If you really like them, then get a new NOS pair.
I'll tell you what I think you want which are the current production Gold Lion EL 84. Jim McShane a sponsor on this site can help you. No affiliation just a customer etc.
Alternatively you may want the real old stock British Mullards but good ones NOS are very scarce and expensive.

I think you should try the DYI/Tube asylum for some more information on how to restore your amp.
That's what I have in my VTA 120 amp.
Thank you. I should change some capacitor? Which capacitor? Thank you
