What can you tell us about the cd player? I am very interested in this kit. What does it "sound" like? How robust are the mechanicals? Whatever information you have would be beneficial.
Thanks

Here is the spec. of this CD player Kithttp://www.vkmusic.ca/TU-884CD.htm
There's a lot to say about this CD kit. This is not it's first generation of this kit, it's been around and has been modified to this stage on a regular basis. I am using Audio Research CD 3, of course the CD 3 is better than this one but you only pay less than 10% of the CD3. You will get at least 80% of the CD 3. Except, the music is very dynamic music.
IT is a very popular kit in Japan. You will not be disappointed.
Thanks
Victor

What's the skill level required to build it?
It requires 4~5 hours to assemble this kit. It needs some simple soldering. Here is the link to veiw how to solder this kit.

Hi,
I previously purchased a kit and am finally starting to put it together. Unfortunately, the small bridge rectifier (D1) is missing from the kit.
Can anyone tell me where to purchase a replacement?
Thank you,
Bob Musson
Hi Bob
I sent you 2 emails regarding your Bridge Rectifier
The first email
Hi Bob
The part name is S1NB60. It is a very common Bridge Rectifier.

It is very rare the BD1 not in the package.
If you have any further questions, please let me know.
Thanks
Victor
This is the second email
HI Bob
If you can wait, I can find one for you from Elekit.
It will take a bit of time
Victor
Both emails were sent on Saturday March 6.
I did not receive any reply from you.
