RE: CCA -- Etched codes? A Moot Point on a Sylvania

Agreed, 100% true. And your V8/VW Beetle is good analogy. Reminds me of the meek appearing though quite slick Sunbeam Tiger that had Ford V8s under their hoods.

What I endeavored to indicate related to the (unlikely) possibility that Sylvania OEM'ed real CCA's. And if so, as was the practice, Sylvania would have labeled these tubes with "Sylvania" & "Made in USA." Such tubes, if existed, would most likely have Philips etched codes. And come to think of it would be akin to the Sunbeam Tiger of OEM'ed tubes.
