if it has a printed white "D" in bottom between pins it is sure original VALVO/Hamburg made. my experience says that all pinched waist VALVOS (very early vintage types) were made by VALVO.the colours (green/yellow/red/blue) show the former distribution channels. the destiantion of yellow ones was german postal/broadcasting supply, green for calculators/computers, blue for avaiation an seafaring purposes and red for other common technical use.
a coloured VALVO is not a guarantee for perfect sound at all. i tried several blue 6201 types in phase converter position of my preamp and was disappointed from their performance. i found far better canditates (ECC81 made by RFT and Telefunken). sorry!
