Home Music Lane

It's all about the music, dude! Sit down, relax and listen to some tunes.

Re: In Kansas City, should it be Jardines or somewhere else?

While I don't disagree vehemently with your comments about the Jazz Museum, I think the project has been beset from the outset by budgetary constraints, including funds to promote the place properly and to combat the idea, especially locally, that this is a terrible part of the city. I've actually overheard locals, i.e., suburbanites, tell visitors that they've never been there because the area is so dangerous. Upon inquiry, of course, I find out that these people haven't been there for 20 years! For $6 I don't think you can go wrong, since you get to see two museums for that and I'd rather have it than not.

Incidentally the Music Exchange is on Broadway, about a block south of Westport Road. Your comment about prices is well taken, although "regulars" often get a discount and they frequently have good sales. The biggest complaint I have with them though is the inconsistency of the condition grading, which seems to go through cycles when it tends to be far too optimistic.
