I finished the power supply. The voltage after the filter caps (terminal 11 on a reg fplay) is 202 volts. The voltage after the diodes is 204 volts. I have 3 220uF panisonic caps with 2.2k resistors inbetween. Any ideas on how to lower the voltage? ThanksAndrew

Ok, sorry for the unclear post, I will try and be more clear.I am building a dual mono power supply. I am using Hammond 187B120 power transformers that are 115v primary and 120v secondary. From there I have the RRSF then a diode bridge using 1UF4007s. Then 3 220uf caps with 2.2kohm resistors in between.
That is for each channel.
The voltage after the diodes is 204 volts and after the caps it is 202 volts. This is just the power supply being tested, with no load. How do I figure out what resistor values to use to get the voltage to 157 or somewhere around there? Thanks
It will drop under load. And 200v is fine for the Foreplay, unless it exceeds the capacitor's rated voltage. (In that case, a resistor ahead of the first cap will bring it down.) Note this is the loaded voltage - electrolytic caps have a surge voltage rating that is higher than their "working voltage" rating.
Ok, I will give that a shot.Thanks
