i can understand the benefits of issuing "remastered" CDs from analog recordings - benefits of latest technology 96/24 mastering etc. etc.what's the pros/cons of "remastering" recordings originally recorded on low-res digital?
i've seen quite a few of these CDs and even compared a few - they do sound more dynamic, more extended frequencies, and louder - often, mostly louder. are these just the result of some "tinkering" and equalization or are there any real benefits?
