DC supply cables

Hi, a have a creek OBH8-SE phono stage. I've already replaced the stock AC power cable to the out board power supply with a Supra cable with good results. So, of course these things get the better of you and i start wondering about the DC supply cable from the power supply to the actual phono stage. It's just a diddy little multi strand figure of 8 wire. Could a do anything to improve it ? Twist it, shield it, replace it ? Do the same values apply to low voltage ( i think it's 12DC ) as they do to high voltage AC ?
